LOS ANGELES – March 14, 2018 – MilSource, the exclusive US distributor of Techaya ruggedized switching and routing solutions today announced that Techaya was selected by a leading defense systems integrator to provide its MILTECH 912 to provide advanced Ethernet switching and networking capabilities for a US Army helicopter upgrade program.
The commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), compact MILTECH 912 is a rugged, managed Ethernet network switch with 12 triple-speed (10/100/1000) ports. Its advanced feature set includes Layer 3 static routing; additional Layer 2 switching functionality, including IP sub-net based WLANs; remote management functions; and additional QoS support.
“The MILTECH 912 is an ideal product for both fixed wing and rotary aerial vehicles,” said Ronen Isaac, general manager of MilSource. “Its compact form factor, passive cooling and MIL-STD compliance helps ensure that the product will stand up to the heat, vibration and electrical interference often found in these environments.”
